Glenmorangie Nectar d’Or 12 Year Old is a fruity single malt from the Glenmorangie distillery. It has a sweet and dessert-like flavour complemented by the wine casks from Sauternes. It is from these aromatic Sauternes casks that it gets its name – Nectar d’Or.
Like most Glenmorangie whiskies, this is smooth, soft, and gentle without any harsh or smoky flavours. Its nose is of lime and orange peel, coconut and sultanas, with spice and rich dried-fruit notes. There’s also the presence of dates which give it a rich and fruity hint. Right up front on the palate, Glenmorangie Nectar d’Or 12 Year Old has a warming taste with spicy notes of ginger and nutmeg. These precede flavours of toasted almonds and lemon.
